STATEMENT OF PURPOSE & PHILOSOPHY
It is the purpose of Little Lane Weekday Preschool & MMO to assist parents in the academic, social, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development of their children. It is our belief that a Christian environment enhances this development process.
Believing that all children are special in God’s eyes, with individual personalities, our goal is to help each child obtain his/her full potential. We believe in love, laughter, and learning at Little Lane by nurturing self-confidence through creative activities and exploration of the world around us. We believe this is accomplished by offering exciting challenges for the children, with the least amount of pressure.
It is our prayer that we are effective in supporting our parents with the administration of this outreach ministry and that we will be a service to our community. We are hopeful our parents will become a part of the LLBC family or feel welcome to turn to our church in times of crisis.
As we join parents in layering the foundation for a life lived in a relationship with Jesus, it is our philosophy that preschool-age children need to know that God made them, that God loves them, and that Jesus wants to be our friend forever. Therefore, the curriculum provided for each class is meant to facilitate the teaching of these truths while introducing basic Bible stories and verses. We have chosen the A Beka curriculum for instruction with Bible and readiness skills.
All classes use resources that focus on letter and number recognition, blending sounds, shapes, counting, cutting with scissors, holding a pencil, and additional preschool skills. The A Beka curriculum provides our program with consistency and continuity. Children will also attend a weekly music class and special events.
Little Lane Weekday Preschool & MMO offers a well maintained building that is child oriented and centered on Jesus Christ. Our teachers have each passed a background check and the majority of the staff are CPR certified. Our goal is to not only provide your children with a research based and developmentally appropriate education, but to also provide them with a safe and secure atmosphere.
Early registration begins in February for all students currently enrolled and for new students mid-month. When all classes are full, we will begin a waiting list. Children will be assigned to appropriate classes according to their age as of September 1st of the current year.
