Little Lane/MMO

About

Little Lane Weekday Preschool & MMO (Mom’s Morning Out) is a ministry of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church.  Little Lane is a half-day program, 9:00-1:00.  We operate during the school year, mid-August to mid-May, for ages 6 months to pre-K.  Class options for each age group are  2 days (Tuesday/Thursday), 3 days ( Monday/Wednesday/Friday), and five days (Monday – Friday).

Little Lane uses the Abeka curriculum for ages 2, K3, & K4.  It is Bible-based and research-based for continuity and consistency in the preschool program.  The scope and sequence are available through the Abeka Web site.  Language development includes listening skills, colors and color words, shapes, community helpers, safety, manners, and more.  Simple counting, number recognition, and number concepts are also introduced through exploration and learning centers.  Bible lessons share truths as children learn hymns, memorize scripture, and hear God’s word through visuals, puppetry, and songs.

Enrichment activities are also provided.  Students have a weekly music class, art is incorporated through themes and holidays, STEM (science/technology), and students have structured and non-structured playtimes.  Students bring their lunch and eat in the lunchroom to help them become more independent and learn skills needed to be self-sufficient.  Socialization is a major goal as students learn to respect each other’s personal space, share, and get along with their peers.

Little Lane has a wonderful staff that loves our Lord.  We strive to maintain a nurturing environment in which children and their families feel safe.  Our desire is to share that Jesus loves all people, that the staff loves all people, and that everyone is safe while at Little Lane.
